In the run up to the busy summer months at Sacrewell, we have welcomed three new seasonal employees to the fold, Eleanor, Lisa and Jack.
Eleanor (right) is 22 years-old from Bainton and is one of two seasonal rangers helping us out this summer. No stranger to Sacrewell, Eleanor was first introduced to the team on a work experience placement when she was 15. Her roles include looking after the animals and leading our summer fun events.
She has lots of pet handling experience having cared for her two pet chickens, Beatrix and Martha and her cat Ziggy.
Eleanor has just finished an honours degree in fine art at De Montfort University in Leicester. She hopes to use the experience she gets this summer to continue working in the countryside and plans to join an art residency.
Lisa (left), 24, is already a familiar face at Sacrewell and has joined the Sacrewell ranger’s team for the third summer running. Lisa, is a former student at King Harrold Academy in 2007, and enjoys horse riding and attending dog shows.
Lisa’s barking mad and has six pet dogs of her own which she competes with at shows, including those at Sacrewell, regularly. As a ranger she enjoys looking after the pigs and Shire horses.
In the future she wants to use her knowledge from working at Sacrewell to keep her own animals on a small holding
Last but not least Jack, 20, from Market Deeping is working as a marketing and events intern for the summer.
Jack is currently a student at the University of Manchester and has just completed his second year, studying an honours degree in Management. He is hoping to work within the marketing and leisure industry after graduation next year and is already picking up plenty of tips to help him on his way.
During Jack’s three month internship at Sacrewell he will assist the team in carrying out marketing, events and education work.
He said: “I’m very excited to get started here at Sacrewell and get some much needed experience in the marketing and events industry.”
We are sure our visitors will join us in welcoming them to the team, and look out for them on site this summer.
